round robin symmetry over midi?

Post by andrewh » Sun Mar 21, 2021 3:58 pm

Does anyone here know if the midi keyboard output of the matriarch matches the current round robin setting on the matriarch? I have been thinking of ways to turn this into a 4 voice poly in tandem with 4 mother 32s. my basic idea is matriarch midi out>eurorack midi-cv converter>4 different m32s; the 4 osc outputs from the matriarch would go to the ext ins of the m32s, then I would send the m32 outputs back to the matriarch mixer for treatment with the matriarch's stereo delay and filters. The big question, though, is whether the voice allocation/ round robin would match on the midi output so that I would be able to always match matriarch osc 1 with m32 1, osc 2 with m32 2, and so on. I think it would be interesting if the midi triggered the m32s in a different order from that of the onboard round robin triggering, but I'd like to be able to control that setting as well. thanks!
