DFAM dead after wrong power supply use

Post by benh0515 » Mon Mar 01, 2021 6:45 am

Hello,
I accidentally put a wrong power supply into my DFAM (19v) just a few seconds.
It doesn't light on anymore.
Any idea how I can fix it?
I try to contact support but I have no response.
Thank you.

You mean a 19V walt wart instead of the 12V one that was supplied?

Most well designed, commercial rated products, protect from overvoltage and reversed voltages on user accessible inputs; it's literally only pennies and square mm's to provide this kind of protection.

Personally, I would be discouraged if that was what killed your DFAM.

I'll look at mine later this week.

Fwiw, I lost a doepfer envelope follower to a reversed cable. Sheesh, poor consumer design.
