Newbie Question - Matriarch - Stuck In Arpeggiator

Post by dcrabtree11207 » Wed Feb 19, 2020 8:04 pm

Try not to laugh too hard but at 66 years old I have purchased my first synth, a Matriarch, and am learning to use it. After spending some hours with it today I am getting down the basics I was feeling pretty good about myself until I started working with the Arpeggiator/Sequencer. I'm basicaly stuck in that mode. The green play button is off but the the Sequencer is still running everytime I press a note. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I've not been able to figure it out. Thoughts? Thanks.

Hmmm.... that's very strange. I assume you power cycled the unit and it comes up that way? Is there any midi connections? If so I suggest you disconnect them, power cycle and reevaluate. It could be a fault related to the play button.

I'm not connected through MIDI at this point. Just a mono connection going to an amp. Power cycling did not do anything for me. I looked through the manual for a master reset but didn't see anything that would help.

That does sound like a faulty part or connection. I would call Moog service. Btw there is no hidden reset function.

It turns out that I have a defective Matriarch. Sweetwater is shipping a replacement unit.

Cool - glad to hear that was easily resolved.
