Mother 32 Receiving MIDI Clock But No Notes

Hello,

My first post here, and I an also new to synths and music production. I am using Ableton 10 Live. I have four external devices: Drumbrute, Minibrute 2, DFAM and Mother 32.

I have all of this synced with Ableton as the master clock. I want to be able to use the keyboard on my Minbrute 2 to play the notes on the Mother 32. I was able to do this earlier today but I must have switched something, and I cannot figure out what it is.

I have tried turning everything off except for the Mini and the Mother, with a 5 pin cable running from the out on the mini to the in on the Mother. The clock goes but no notes. The midi light on the mother never comes on but it did earlier today, though in a configuration where everything was on.

What I did earlier that I do remember was turning down all the way the master volume on the mini. It did work with the mother and I recorded a sequence with no problem using the keys on the mini. I think I also took the mini off of USB sync.

I have the mini channel on the mother set to 1.

Any ideas???
