LFO Clicking

Post by stylesforfree » Mon Aug 08, 2016 4:20 am

I have had the mother for about a month now and never noticed this before....

The lfo clicks on when the vco wave is set to square and the lfo wave set to square, no patching.

Here is an audio file of the recording I made, notice the prominent clicking during the last 8-10 seconds

This is how I have it setup

Is this normal?

I think you're hearing the click due to:

1. The filter cutoff is at minimum, allowing only very low frequencies to pass. I wouldn't expect to hear much at that setting.
2. The filter modulation polarity is negative, driving the filter cutoff frequency even lower.

If the LFO is allowed to pass even the slightest voltage to the filter, clicks would result.

To resolve this, I would change the filter modulation polarity to positive, and probably raise the filter cutoff frequency.

Good luck!
