Does anyone know of a passive eurorack patch bay/tie-line module? I'd like to have all the CV connections of my 3 foogers and sub37 available to the mother 32 with no adapters... Maybe integrate some of my other external gear too - it could break out on the back to DSub or 1/4" or something else even... I've searched all over the internet and can't one...
thanks!
Stew

Re: 1/8" patch panel to connect mother to foogers
I just make cables to suit with a 3.5mm jack plug on one end and a 1/4" jack plug on the other (both Neutrik). Does the job for me. Is there some particular requirement you have? I'm pretty sure you can also get passive 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter/mult panels in 5U and Eurorack, but I've never found the need for any myself.
Re: 1/8" patch panel to connect mother to foogers
I find adapters too clumsy - all I really want is some tie lines so that I can easily integrate external synths and processing into a eurorack rig without having to look for the right adapter at any given time... I'd like to have 48 tie lines ultimately so I can access all the audio and CV connections on my non-eurorack gear (like the moogerfoogers which are an akward form factor for quick and inspired patching)

I've been thinking about picking one of these up, they look pretty handy.

I'm going to order one or 2 of these after I find 1 in-stock in the USA

They look a nice solution but then they are expensive (you still need to pay for patch cables) and they take up rack space.paramnesia wrote:I'm going to order one or 2 of these after I find 1 in-stock in the USA

A cable with different connectors on each end is not an 'adapter' in my book. To me 'adaptors' are those cheap barrel connectors that always a waste of money.

If all you need is down and dirty 1/4" -3.5mm check these out.

I've had about a dozen for years and not one has bit the dust.

Re: 1/8" patch panel to connect mother to foogers
That's a workaround that would make the connection for sure, but what I'm hoping to find is a way to bring all the CV and audio connections of my external gear into the eurorack frame - there's 9 jacks on each of my moogerfoogers and while I can't see using all 9 at once, I have no interest in fishing around the back of them looking for the CV jack I want or having to find one long enough to make it to my sub37, pulling it from it's niche and hunting for which CV jack is which...
I'm not sure why it's such a tall order to just have 48 points of 1/8" connections in my eurorack frame connected to external gear that I can have immediate access to when patching - having to use a mish-mash of cables with 1/4", XLR or 1/8" TRS defeats the purpose of having a standard.

If you can solder, this is a great option: https://midisizer.com/other/jack-o-mix/

Re: 1/8" patch panel to connect mother to foogers
I would like to watch a single video of punching cables on the patch panel which is installed/or to be installed to a rack rather than punching a 5 foot cable sitting in the desk. That's what is most important to see how easy is to fix or work with this patch panel when you have 48 cables in the back of your rack server.

The Patchulator works pretty well for this exact purpose, and sits well near the Foogers. With two, there are 32 patch points available for CV and/or audio signals.
