911 modification

Post by Rarecomponentadsr » Thu Nov 22, 2018 7:04 am

Does anyone have any info regarding circuitry of any envelope generator that features a Hold stage ?

I would like to see an example as to how it's done with the possibility of modifying one of me 911 clones.

I recently bought a Mini Mod ADSR and tried it in the clone Moog Modular and was surprised as to how punchier it seemed to be. This I assume is because of the hold section that I think was originally a design fault in the mini envelopes.

The Korg MS10 has a hold function.

The control pot is VR22 on the schematic - but (unlike the other EG controls) it isn't 'named'..!

Here's a link to the service manual with the schematic.

that's a different hold:
on the korg it is the time you hold a key is virtually lengthened,
while what , i believe, you mean is an extra option to make the time between attack max level en start decay longer.
several envelops have this option ( like on the synton fenix 2) , it indeed gives more "punch" , but it is rare in available envelops
