Double 904A VCF Modules

So, am I understanding correctly that having two 904A Lowpass filters is the only way to get a stereo filter sweep for, say, recording purposes?
In theory, I would be routing both outputs to two separate trunk lines going to stereo left and right into the interface? I'm curious to learn a little more about some recording effects and things you can do with multiple modules.
What about other suggestions for this? Other valuable modules to have duplicate of? Thanks Guys!
