1150 Ribbon Controller Slider replacement

Post by MoogDriver » Fri Mar 03, 2017 9:20 pm

Hi,
I have a 1150 ribbon controller with the Aux Control slider broken off flush with the top of the casing.
I see the original slider potentiometer is a StackPole Slide-troll 116. This is a 5K linear slider. Other numbers on the side of the original StackPole slider are: 304V7319 and 304-01489
1. Does anyone know of any NOS StackPole Slide-troll 116 OEM sliders available for purchase?
2. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement slider available from either Mouser or DigiKey, or another source?

Thanks a bunch, and Long Live Moog.

Hello,
Your best bet is to repair the existing pot.
I do this all the time on vintage pots.
You will need to find the same make pot at any value, and open them up and replace the slider stem.

Hope that gives you some ideas.

Thanks for the reply GD. I had not thought of that approach, good to know.
My luck usually doesn't run this way, but I came across some NOS Stack Pole 5K linear sliders that appear to be the correct size on Ebay. If anyone is interested, they are at this link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121337465882
Thanks,
