911 extra capacitor

Post by Rarecomponentadsr » Tue Apr 26, 2016 6:14 pm

I just noticed that on the 1968 schematics of the 911 there is a capacitor (C2) at the entry of the gate signal which is not on the Norlin Schematics. The value is .02.
At a rough guess I I wonder if this was included as a foil for rogue S trigger from the early keyboards ?

Sorry I don't know how to include a link but if you Google "Moog 911" the 1968 schematic should show up.

It's a de-bounce to the input of the transistor bistable pair Q13/Q14 - probably not required but if it's in the original schematic I'd prefer to include it.

Thanks for reply.

I did include this capacitor in one of my DIY 911 clones. I cannot tell yet if it's made any change to the 911's behaviour.
