Does anyone know what this internal trim pot (VR100) does? Does this change the internal voltage or something? Is moving this a bad idea?

I don't know about this specific pot, but in other BBD chorus pedals, there is often a pot to adjust the bias of the signal going in the BBD chip. This is to maximize headroom. Changing it wouldn't change the sound in a correctly-functioning pedal except to add clipping distortion.
