MF Drive - Amperage

Post by signals_ » Sat Jan 07, 2017 6:25 pm

Hi,

What's the max amperage the MF Drive can handle? The web states 10mA; most bricks are around 500mA. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi signals_,

I'm not an EE expert, but my understanding is that a device only pulls the amperage that it needs, regardless of how much is available. So it is only important that your power supply's amperage is rated higher than what you need.

I have many power supplies rated much higher than what the devices need.

EEs, please chime in if I'm wrong on this....

Thanks for the response, Dan. I suspect you are correct but wanted to check to see if there were any quirks with the MF Drive. I'm no EE expert either :)

Not EE neither, but I second that :)

I'm an EE, and you are correct about that. Unless the pedal breaks and draws more that the usual amount of current. But at that point all bets are off.
