Why did Moog change the design of the Minifoogers so soon?

So yeah...Why did Moog change the design of the Minifoogers so soon?

They started with the little name plaques then switched the geometric designs. I know it's not a huge deal, just thought it was a bit strange.
My modular so far: Q104, Q106 x2, Q107, Q108, Q109 x2 , Q116, Q118, Q127 w/Q140, Q130, STG Wave Folder, Mixer and Mankato playing with Moog Voyager, VX-351, CP-251, MF-104M x2 ( STEREO!) Volca Beats and Bass, Arturia Beat step

I would imagine it was just to differentiate them a little bit more than being a black box with some knobs. I have four of the original ones, and while I haven't done it yet, I could see myself turning a knob or switching on the wrong one in the heat of the moment.

^This. In the dark, they were practically identical and that is an issue. I don't really like the design solution they went with, but I understand the logic, and how the new look works to solve the similarity problem without a re-design of the line. *W*

That makes sense. I didn't consider the fact that people actually use these on stage
