MF drive fave settings.

Post by sonikboom » Thu Sep 18, 2014 5:30 pm

hey guys i just got my MF drive the other day. and so far im pretty impressed with it.
so i figured id ask the other experimenters out there what there fave settings are, interesting sweet spots etc.

im keeping my tone knob about 12 and my filter around 11 o clock, drive toggle up and at about 11 o clock again. depending on which amp im using the out put is usually around noon.

i find this gives a pretty fun quacky but usable tone for cheesy lead work and yields some interesting flavors on my guitars tuned in c standard. not that im going for that homme sound but it seems to be in this pedal some where! makes sense i suppose since i think the ladder filter in the maestro he used to use was of bobs design.

anyways great pedal. not a one trick pony at all.

Filter Sweep
Gain = 0
Output = Unity
Drive = Low
Filter = 0
Tone = ~1:00

This setting is for use with an EP-3 expression pedal controlling the filter to create some nice MOOG-ish sweeps. Use a fuzz/muff pedal to create a square-wave signal from your guitar, and you're off to guitar-synth-land. :)
