Animoog keyboard range - less than one octave?

hello--I've never really gotten into this great synth for this reason and have always suspected I'm doing something wrong: If (and I'm on an iPhone 6+) you have a normal chromatic setup on the keyboard, is the range really limited to a major 6th (or major 7th w/o pitch and mod)? I've read the manual and searched online and, of course, dragged the handles to the right/left and the widest range I can get is a major 6th when setup chromatically. . . Surely this isn't correct? Thanks for any ideas or confirmation.
