Send audio and midi back to mac to record animoog in DAW

Iv been trying to wrap my head around sending midi and audio back to my imac from animoog on ipad air but I can't find a solution. I'm using a imac, sub phatty, ipad air and rme babyface soundcard. I'm controlling animoog wirelessly with my s.p through a ad hoc network but what connections do I need to send back midi and audio back on the ipad? Or is it possible to send midi back to the imac through the ad hoc network leaving me with just audio to worry about? If anybody has any info or has done this before you would be of great help.....thanks in advance
