iPhone Animoog and Filtatron Users Unite for Audiobus Suppor

Post by erniesfo » Sun Apr 21, 2013 8:10 pm

Tired of Moog's laziness and lack of attention and support for the iPhone versions of Animoog and Filtatron? Tired of no Audiobus support - especially since it is so simple to implement?

Call/write Moog and complain loudly and often.

Or show some decency and search the Moog forums... And see this:

Which is from this thread:

Basically, they said Audiobus is on the list for all their iOS apps next updates. But they are busy.

And if you do call/ write ... maybe try to keep it positive. Most people work better when they are happy and appreciated, not pushed/ being griped at.

+ 1!!

Wow, erniesfo, you certainly know how to make an entrance!

If you'll take the time to actually look around these forums, you realize this is an EXTREMELY helpful place to hang out!

You'll also realize Moog is a very small company, with a LOT of projects going on at the moment, not the
least of which is the launch of a brand-new hardware synthesizer ~ which, by the way, is what the Moog company was established to build in the first place - hardware synthesizers. SO, if hardware synths get the priority, I think most folks on here would agree that is understandable.

Most of us here have NO doubt that Filtatron and the iPhone Animoog will meet your expectations at some point in the future. But in the mean time, exhibiting some patience, instead of storming in and making demands and complaints about an inexpensive app, would probably make you much more welcome on these forums, and probably more likely to be taken seriously by Moog staff.

Keep in mind that the two inexpensive apps you're complaining about work EXACTLY as ADVERTISED, and for most folks they seem to meet - or exceed - their expectations. Audiobus- which is a VERY recent development, BTW - wasn't even around when these apps were released. Also, Filtatron was just recently available for FREE, and the iPad version of Animoog, which was available recently at a BIG discount, has received several updates over the last few months.

If you're serious about using Animoog, you might seriously give some thought to using it on an iPad ~ the screen "real estate" on an iPad versus an iPhone makes a HUGE difference in the controls and layout that can be implemented, and similarly can have quite the improvement over using the app when performing.

BTW -
I'm using Animoog and Filtatron on an old iPad 2, and they work just fine...
Little Phatty Solar CV, Minitaur, Slim Phatty (x2), MF-101, MF-102, MF-103, MF-104M, MF-105M, MF-108M, CP-251 (x2), Animoog app, Filtatron app, Model D app, Model 15 app...and some 5U modular and Doepfer stuff...
