Hi,
I haven't studied the Taurus I schematics yet, but does anyone already have details on adding CV/gate (or CV/s-trig) outputs? I'm a fellow Rush nerd, so would love to be able to trigger some of the synth parts with the Taurus, similar to Geddy's old setup. I'm sure someone somewhere has already done this, any info would be great
thanks,
LeChuck

Hey LeChuck...
I'm assuming that you are wanting to drive old synths using the T1 Keyboard CV and Trigger?...The T1 is V/Hz Scaling so it won't play so nicely with other CV synths. And you would have to select the correct place to tap the signals.
Modifying the T1 to give you MIDI OUT is much easier and you can trigger anything that Has MIDI IN. Although the modification is reversible, it's a lot of work and you will be modifying your T1 from Stock.
You could parallel the Contacts on the T1 footpedal contacts and drive a parallel to MIDI converter...I did something similar on my T1 build recently using this..

Here's a summary of my project that might help you get closer to MIDI...my Project is a MIDI IN for my T1 using a MIDI to Parallel converter to close the T1 Keyboard Contacts... you would be doing the opposite with a parallel to MIDI converter to turn the contact closures into MIDI OUT

The T1 contacts are the weak point so I would recommend replacing the T1 Contact board with Kevin Lightner's upgrade to insure a solid contact closure.
