Voyager controlling Taurus...a Question

Post by EricK » Tue May 18, 2010 2:19 pm

Okay,
So one of the first things that I did was try to get the Taurus to track with the Voyager's CV out. With pitch to pitch and gate to gate, the Taurus tracks perfectly with the Voyager, only at an interval.

Ill shoot a video demonstration later on to show you what Im talking about

I can't get Osc 1 to match up with the Taurus without detuning the whole Voyager. Then Osc 2 and three have to be set all the way clockwise or counter clockwise in order to match the pitch of the Taurus.

It sounds good, but this is the only way I have found, and no attenuation of the Pitch CV is going to work.

Intervals sound awesome, but what I was going for was having the exact same note stacked 5 times over.

My question....how can we get the Voyager's Osc 1 and the Taurus to track at the same note via CV?

Thanks

Video demo to come later.

Sounds like a job for the offset function on a CP-251.

THe only thing ive ever used that for was to change the Mixer from a CV mixer to an audio mixer lol. Was never quite clear on what exactly its supposed to do.

THe only time I really use the mixer was before I got the Voyager and wanted the 102/107 to track as extra oscs for the Micro, or when I wanted to combine every single LFO I could muster to the Freqbox in an attempt to create arpeggios.

Ill definately look into the offset...thanks.

The offset will "rescale" the signal, and you just have to tune it correctly. An attenuator will shrink the size of the available range, while an offset/polarizer/inversion/whathaveyou will shift that range.
So this thing only plays one note?
