Taurus 3 Software Editor?
Are there any plans to release a software editor/librarian for the Taurus 3?
I hope so because while the Taurus might appear limited being a bass synth, 49 presets aren't enough when you take into consideration various other things like:
Saving arpeggios
Using the Taurus with other instruments specific modulation requirements
Different Bass types
Sequencing the Taurus
Using the Taurus with other CV controllers
And for Polyphony
By the time you have these set, you have exceeded the usage of the presets.
See, cause in the Voyager then you add all of the external instruments you might process.

I'd buy it just to be able to load banks of presets in a "set list" order before a gig, rather than doing all of the dancing I do now to get to the ones I need when on stage.
It would also be nice to re-visit the factory presets I wrote over from time to time, without having to do factory resets & writing all of my own presets on charts before doing so.
I also think you could really tweak your patches "just right" & much more quickly if you were using a pc mouse, & not just calling up one parameter at a time.

You mean you don't have the 'pickup & move' feature? Similar to Cut/paste except it lets you pick a patch, access panel via double click of knob (it asks you "pickup/move; Are you sure: No"), you say Yes, then simply scroll the knob right or left and the current patch moves from L4 (for instance) either up or down the range, shifting the others to the left / right respectively.superd2112 wrote:I'd buy it just to be able to load banks of presets in a "set list" order before a gig, rather than doing all of the dancing I do now to get to the ones I need when on stage.

It's much better than doing dozens of cut/pastes.
... Oh wait... that feature doesn't exist, I just made it up. Unfortunately, I don't know that Amos has enough memory to shift stuff around like that but if there is a simple index bank, this could be trivial.
Or... a performance set capability with say 16 memory location via which you can bind existing presets in their current location to them, then depress BANK followed by "DECAY" to scroll decrement or "OCTAVE" to scroll right.
Just a thought...

I just got my beast 2 days ago, and haven't delved into programming yet. However, one advantage I can think of is that a lot of artists and producers will probably have it on the floor, but use it as a sound source via midi. That being said, they probably wouldn't want to have to get down on their hands and knees in the studio every time they wanted to program or tweak something.
I'd be cool with an editor. And I'd pay for it as well. Moog is too small a company for me to expect everything for free all the time.
That's also a good point about being able to move things around for set lists, although you could do that with the sysex dump and then move things around manually, and then save that as a separate file.

Re: Taurus 3 Software Editor?
Anyone besides me getting a sore back from too much bending over and tweaking? The T1's were pretty much "set & forget it" but these have a LOT more options so YES an editor would be very much appreciated!
