moog taurus pedal-cap

Post by gat100 » Sun Feb 23, 2020 4:44 pm

I need to replace a single moog taurus pedal-cap for my Taurus 1 bass pedal. Does anyone know where I can purchase one of those? I think the Taurus 1 & 2 uses the same brown moog taurus pedal-cap but I'm not sure if the taurus 3 is different.

Thanks,

Greg

During the 1970s/80s, Norlin Corporation owned Moog synths, Gibson guitars, Pearl drums, Lowrey home organs, many music brands. It was not uncommon for parts to be interchanged on products of any of the brands. Such is the case for the Moog Taurus 1 and Taurus 2, whose keycaps came from Lowrey organs. So if you know of a "graveyard" of broken home organs, you might be able to find a Lowrey home organ that you can scavenge keycaps from the bass pedals to use on Taurus pedals.

T3 is a different keyset and not compatible with the older Taurus machines.
