Minitaur cv inputs

Post by Taurusrus » Fri Apr 13, 2018 5:13 am

Just wondering if it is possible to trigger the release switch remotely like with a foot pedal. This seems to be a bit of a flaw considering you can do volume/pitch this way. Plus it was one of the main Taurus 1 features. Even a cheap keyboard has a sustain pedal! Midi control is all very well but I won’t be hooking it up to a computer as it’s for live use. Thanks in advance for any responses.

With many keyboard controllers you can assign cc’s, note numbers, etc to sustain pedal and many come with assignable buttons if you don’t have a pedal. There is no need for a computer to use MIDI.

You just need to send MIDI CC #64.
This is the control of the sustain pedal, sometimes also called hold pedal.
And indeed, most MIDI keyboards do send this controller if a pedal is attached, or a special hold button on the keyboard is used.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

I figured this out by remapping one of the cv inputs to do release.

Sometimes you just need things n plain English!
