Moog Minitaur Power Supply Issues

Post by signals_ » Sun Aug 20, 2017 12:14 pm

Hi all,

Anyone had any issues with the Minitaur power supply causing noise in the audio output signal? Just today, I've been getting clicks and pops (smacks of spike in power) in my audio; definitely unrelated to envelopes or phase sync. I've tried changing out everything: USB, jack cable, and audio interface. Same issue.

Anyone had this problem?

After further research, this is starting to sound like a VCA/pot issue:

Here's a recording of the issue in play:

I've requested an RMA but would love to hear if anyone has any solutions or quick fixes?

Try a different PSU with the same voltage (12 Volts) and polarity (the outer is negative) and at least the same current (min. 1200 mA).
Maybe it is just the PSU.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16
