minitaur polychain
minitaur polychain
I've observed that Moog has posted on its minitaur info that the minitaur can now be polychained, I suppose with the new revision implemented. With what other moog products will it be polychained? Has anyone tried this yet?
Re: minitaur polychain
Minitaur has polychain abilities are not new on this version. I once had two units and I was able to do it without any problem
I understand the Sub series don't have this ability, but the Voyager and Little/Slim Phatty do

Re: minitaur polychain
I have dreamed of having multiple Minitaurs, how did they sound poly chained together? Was it worth it to do? I have also thought maybe I would be better served chasing a mother 32 but I honestly do not know if it can polychain, I don't know much about the mothers.bichuelo wrote:Minitaur has polychain abilities are not new on this version. Well you don't even need a polychain system if you want to use two. Simply set the first unit to low note priority and the second one to high note priority, or try last note priority for a different result.
With old digital and soft synths you usually don't have a chance but last note priority (when they are set to mono) and this gives very interesting results as well. You may also combine different Moog models and try changing this option. If you use a poly as the second synth, you can set the Moog to low note and use its audio input for the other synth. Personally, I found it amazing
Here is an example I did: https://www.instagram.com/p/BPmGXewBLBo/
When I did the test with two Minitaurs it was long ago, when I was servicing and calibrating a customers' Minitaur. I only recalled it was great, but I couldn't give you any more details right now
