can not use minitaur plug in while inside ableton.

I'm sure this has been discussed before however, I can not find the post. But I am unable to use the plug in for my minitaur while it is enabled in abletons midi sync tab.

In order to change presets I have to disblable the mini in the midi sync tab, exit out of ableton and then open the stand alone editor, change my preset and then boot up ableton again.

As you can guess this is a very disrupting workflow. Have any of you had any success with getting the plug in to work within ableton?

I am running windows 10 and ableton 9.2.1.
