see recent comments from Amos regarding Sub37 editor & developer resources for Subphatty updates (likely applies to Minitaur as well):
http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.ph ... 27#p151915
we're only waiting to begin beta-testing it until Sub 37 Editor is released... which is behind schedule, we anticipated it would be out by now.
This has a knock-on effect of delaying action on the Sub Phatty, because the same team is responsible for both.

My sincere apology for this delay. Updating the Sub Phatty firmware and editor is an extremely high priority for Moog, and a lot of work has already been done.

If anyone is both out of patience and willing to be an early tester, I can probably get a firmware build ready before there's an updated editor... this would mean setting poly chain settings using sysex commands, which is a nuisance but not too difficult. send me a pm if interested.

Moog is a growing company... the delayed updates for Sub Phatty and Minitaur are symptoms of some growing pains. We've recently expanded our firmware and software teams, in order to provide better and more responsive support for all our products. It is taking time to catch up with the backlog, though. I know this update doesn't excuse the long delays but I hope it helps give some context.

Kind regards,

Amos

I am using the new firmware and editor.

It very good and the new features make it like a new synth, but it is a bit buggy.

Feature request for new FW/Editor version:

Please allow for Modulation of LFO rate, via Env.

Thank you! :D

what kind of effect would this have? like an lfo that starts slow and ramps up in speed and vice versa? would be awesome.

latest beta has control over lfo waveform using envelope. great for pitched tom sounds.

The Micromoog had this feature - you could use it with the filter and get mad modulating sweeps - the song "Jungle Love" by Steve Miller Band used that effect. It would be very cool to have on the Minitaur!
