CV Gate Question

Post by slowcities » Sun May 10, 2015 11:38 am

Hi,

I am trying to run my DSI Pro2 as a sequencer source for my Minitaur. One issue is that I figured I should ask about before I do this is that the Pro2 sends out a +10V gate and the Minitaur manual states that it only accepts a +5V gate and then has the intense DO NOT APPLY NEGATIVE OR EXCESSIVE VOLTAGE warning. Is there anyway to hook these two instruments together? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the CV game.

Thanks

If you are handy with with electronics, you can assemble a simple 'thru' attenuator consisting of a pair of jacks and a $2 potentiometer. Once assembled, just use a voltmeter to measure the voltage and adjust until it's within a safe range.

Thanks for the reply, I think I'm going to try one of these: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewt ... light=koma

I'm not that great with electronics.

This cable sounds really similar to what you are describing.
