Minitaur v3.0 editor and v2.1 firmware released!
Re: Minitaur v3.0 editor and v2.1 firmware released!
Hmm, I posted a reply last night and it disappeared, so sorry it this somehow ends up a double post.
I'm having problems with the graphical editor following the CV inputs.
If I use the Volume CV input and reroute that to the Filter Cutoff, then the graphical Filter Cutoff knob follows correctly.
But if more simply, I use the Filter CV input, then the graphical knob for the Filter Cutoff doesn't follow.
thanks

Re: Minitaur v3.0 editor and v2.1 firmware released!
This is normal. The filter CV input isn't scanned digitally, it can't be mapped to anything and doesn't output MIDI. It's just an analog voltage that goes straight to the filter. That's why the editor can't show you any changes to the filter input CV. It's not the same thing as the filter cutoff knob, they are two separate things which are summed together in the actual filter.strum wrote: I'm having problems with the graphical editor following the CV inputs.

Thanks Amos! I was wondering why manually turning the filter knob still had effect when I was driving the filter CV input... I didn't realize it was a sum of the two.
While we are talking following.
I also noticed...
1.) In the the Decay/Release mode 2. In the Extended panel page, when you turn the knob with release off, the graphical decay knob follows as expected. But when you press the release button. The graphical release knob does not follow. This doesn't seem correct.
2.) When I turn the VCA volume knob, the graphical knob does not follow. I could see this being the normal behavior??
thanks!

Hey guys,
maybe we have to start bombing them with emails, cause the moog usb driver
still have not been finished and even it doesn't seem to get finished soon. i still
get answers from Andy Hughes in a way of apologies. It is so annoying !
Send them an email, hope it will kick them a bit forwards.
Regards.

we really are working on it, sorry for the delays. No need to bug Andy about it; he is not involved in the development of the driver.
I hope to have some more info this week, and results as soon as possible thereafter.

Anything on new drivers yet?
Sure starting to look like it won't be this year.

Now I see how naive I was, when I was thinking about one-two weeks to
have it done.

Re: Minitaur v3.0 editor and v2.1 firmware released!
I can´t make the VST or AU plugin of Minitaur to respond at all, in 32 bit Ableton Live 9 on Mac.
Tips anyone?
MIDI is on in Preferences, and I´ve loaded the editor right after External Instruments, and MIDI notes are recorded, as and audio is generated, but the connection between Minitaur and the vst/au seems dead.

Hi
I´ve been trying to work with the MiniTaur Editor in Cubase for half a year with no luck.
I´m using Cubase 7.5 & Cubase 8 (Mac Os 10.8.5) and MiniTaur Editor (last version) always loses the settings.
I´ve tried with the VI Editor and the FX-Plugin Editor in a variety of ways and it won´t work.
I have the Rekon Audio editors for the Moog Little Phatty and Roland Juno-106 and they both work.

Re: Minitaur v3.0 editor and v2.1 firmware released!
I'm digging the plugin feature! Very flexible, efficient & no USB connection necessary. However, a couple of problems...
The velocity sensitivity is not working for me after updating. With velocity sensitivity at 100, no matter how softly I play my MIDI keyboard, I get max volume. If I lower the volume of a note in my sequencer and loop the sequence, sometimes I'll get the softer note, but most times I won't.
Also, the 'snap to' setting is not working for me. When I turn a knob on the hardware, I get relative response in the software, despite which setting I use.
Anyone else?

So what you Moog guys ? It's been 2 months from your promises about the fix
of USB driver and still nothing. I am really pissed.

Re: Minitaur v3.0 editor and v2.1 firmware released!
So what's the latest on the USB driver? It's been another month now with no word.
What are the proper Ableton settings for 3.0.4 and 2.1 with Windows? MIDI synch settings, external instrument settings, etc?
The stand alone editor works fine for me, but in Live I get nothing but "disconnected". With 3.0 and either 2.1 or 2.0 was able to get some functionality in Ableton, but with the new revision I get nothing at all. I was able to send MIDI to the Minitaur with a MIDI cable, and receive knob movement via USB, but now that won't even work. Should I roll back?
I'm running Windows 8.1 64bit and Live 9.1.5 64 bit.

Windows 8.1 64bit, latest driver gives Code #10 error
That's sucks... Hoped to see this awesome VST plug-in working well and it does not)
It works as generic MIDI device
BUT I still love my first Moog, bass is a killa
