Audio out Volume problem

Post by whiterabbit » Thu Apr 03, 2014 4:54 am

Hi

I recently purchased a second hand Minitaur and it looks if good condition.

However after set up and playing it seems a little quiet.

When I have the volume turned all the way up to max - it only adds to about 3/4 of the track volume on Ableton Live.

I could turn the gain up more a little on my audio interface but all my other synths seem fine including my Sub Phatty.

any suggestions? Is there a way of resetting to factory setting that might help?

thanks

Any help with this would be great

i still have to have the minitaur on full volume with the gain on full on focusrite 18i6 and this results in sound into ableton to a quarter of the volume bar on a track.

is there a solution to this please.

thanks

This is strange, the Minitaur ouput is one of the loudest I've known.

Try sending value 127 to CC#7, can't think of anything else...

Try sending value 127 to CC#7

How do I do that?

Also is there a way of resetting the minitaur to factory settings?

I don't use Live so the exact procedure is unknown for me.

In generic terms, you must have a MIDI channel enabled and assigned to the port where the Minitaur is receiving. If you hold all four buttons on Minitaur they will blink, and the next note you send to that port selects the receive channel on the synth.

The next step is to send an event from the channel in your host (Live), in the assigned channel. The event should be a volume event at its highest value (CC#7 value 127 or 128)

Hope it helps

This still doesn't work.

Is there any factory reset?

I can play the minitaur fine but I have to have the gain on full to get any decent level output.

Any other suggestions would be great!!
