LFO does not sync to tempo

Post by nectarios » Wed Nov 21, 2012 1:10 pm

I click the "sync" button, but nothing happens. The Minitaur picks up any knobs I move, and VCO phase re-trigger works, velocity to VCF/VCA, VCO beat...but LFO does not Sync.

What am I doing wrong?

I've had a similar experience. I'm controlling my Minitaur (REV 2) from an Akai MPK25 midi controller and I have mapped out all of the under-the-hood CC messages onto the MPK25's knobs. Everything is working fine except for LFO Midi Sync, which when on, hasn't resulted in the Minitaur's LFO syncing to the tap tempo/midi clock out of the MPK25.

It is a possibility that something on the MPK25 isn't set correctly, but I think I did it all right and I believe the Minitaur is to blame..

Sorted, just had to send MIDI clock from Logic Pro to the Minitaur. I assumed all this was done automatically, but it does not. LFO Sync seems to work fine now.

Hey David, just currently spamming this everywhere I can as I had an absolute ordeal trying to get this working! I guess by now it's probably been sorted or accepted as not working for you, but hopefully this helps you or someone else who finds this thred.

Essentially the Minitaur 'wants' to receive MIDI 'start/stop' data (as well as clock/sync/tempo data) in order for the LFO to work in 'MIDI sync' mode. I've made a video which contains more information if you need it https://youtu.be/jHy92MlXH9Y

All the best,
Luca
