Minitaur CV question

Post by YukonBG » Sat Nov 10, 2012 12:53 pm

Hi folks, this might be a basic question, but can't quite figure it out.
I just purchased a Minitaur, and also own a Therevox http://www.therevox.com. I'd like to be able to control the Minitaur with the CV outs on the Therevox controller while mixing the VCOs (so Therevox audio out to Minitaur audio in). I've been successful in doing this, but have needed to use my Etherwave Plus Theremin to give a gate signal. The Therevox, unfortunately, does not have a gate signal out, just Vol CV and Pitch CV out. I'd like to take the theremin out of the equation, as it would be one more thing to set up at gigs.

So the question is....is there a way I could split the signal from the Vol CV Out on the Therevox to both the Vol CV In and Gate CV In on the Minitaur? Is that even possible? I don't have the cable for that, so wondering if that would even be worth trying before I buy one. Any other suggestions?
Thanks y'all.

CP-251 for splitting the signal ~ and for a simple gate solution try using any pedal switch with on/off like a sustain pedal
The Slim Phatty is set up the same way as the Minitaur CVs, but interestingly the Voyager removes the necessity of patching into the Gate CV with the keyboard/external switch

Ok, that's great, thank you!
The on/off gate pedal would be the best option for my situation.
