minitaur sticker typo?

Post by jeepo » Wed May 23, 2012 3:35 pm

My minitaur came with a sticker that says
"moog
all your bass are belong to us"

I was just looking at stuff on the moog web page, and they have more things bearing the "your bass are belong to us", so, i don't think it's a typo, though now I wonder why they decided to use caveman grammar. Maybe it's just too much bass for proper english?

Not a typo - sort of a geek culture legend

"Bass" is a sly reference

I guess not everyone was on the internet when that meme went round, you sort of assume everyone knows it, but the world's a pretty big place.

I think Taurus owners deserve those stickers too, maybe more so.

The first time I heard that was like 1999 when I opened a copy of Steiberg's Wavelabs.

But that 14 string Conklin....yeah I had to sell it because it just wasn't enough bass. ( Seriously though, I used to covet that thing...25K!)

I barely know what to do with four strings (seems about two too many to me), let alone 14!

I haven't seen those stickers but you can buy a pair of 'slipmats' for your turntables (assuming you have turntables) or maybe just hang them on your wall like I may do. Am trying to think of something creative to do with them, maybe attached to a weather balloon and send into space. http://www.moogmusic.com/products/merch/moog-slipmats

This guy played a two string bass: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Presid ... ica_(band) (not sure if they made their way to UK; I doubt it but I like their sound at the time [in the 90's])

It all started on my 19th birthday...actually, long before that, when a particular Sega game was released on the Mega Drive console. Zero Wing was a great game, plagued by bad Japanese to English translations.

Thank you mc. I knew there had to be something behind it, and now, thanks to you, I know what that something is.

WHat is that modular thing? Looks like a mixing board slash synth.

Are you a 1980 product?

1982, actually. Bad_CRC uploaded their Zero Wing remix to Newgrounds on February 16, 2001. That was my 19th birthday.
