I will open a bug report with Cakewalk.
the problem is, now the minitaur is stuck in "local off" mode and none of the knobs work.
ive tried the 4 button reset. is there another reset to return local control to "on"?

Re: Minitaur USB crashes Sonar X1
I thought I saw a note somewhere about a master reset but cannot seem to find it.
The 4 button reset will only re-learn a new Midi channel; it doesn't change any of the other parameters.
But if you setup your DAW (or your keyboard) to send a CC#122 with a value of #127 you'll be in good shape.

Re: Minitaur USB crashes Sonar X1
hi all,
I've changed Local Control to be a volatile parameter, so that it will always boot up with local on (to prevent problems).
meanwhile, cc 122, value 127, will turn on local control.
There are sysex commands for factory reset, 14bit midi enable/disable, and a few other useful functions; I'll see about getting them posted on our website.
Cheers,
Amos

Re: Minitaur USB crashes Sonar X1
thanks Amos!
i could see this being a disaster if using the minitaur live.
a hard reset, button pushes or whatever, would be great.
any chance to get the patch RANDOM button working? i love random patches.

Re: Minitaur USB crashes Sonar X1
are you on Mac? I have a Mac editor build where Random works.
Re: Minitaur USB crashes Sonar X1
FYI, I am running Win7 and Random does not function.Amos wrote:are you on Mac? I have a Mac editor build where Random works.
