Hi!
I love that there is a knob to change the maximum level for a parameter ... But can it be used to change the MINIMUM as well??
How to set minimum and maximum levels with EP 3 pedal?

Most of the functions on things like moogerfoogers combine the voltage of the VC In jack of a parameter with the actual knob setting of that parameter.eroxx wrote:I love that there is a knob to change the maximum level for a parameter ... But can it be used to change the MINIMUM as well??
So... careful setting of the actual knob as well as the Maximum level of the EP-3 will allow you to get your desired Minimum and Maximum values.

Hi!
I'm not quite sure I understand what to do ... I only see one knob which controls the max level ... You're saying I need something like a moogerfooger?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you needed a moogerfooger. I was just trying to use a real-world example.eroxx wrote:I only see one knob which controls the max level ... You're saying I need something like a moogerfooger?
The idea is that you'd set the value (on whatever parameter of whatever device that you're connecting the EP-3 to) to be the Minimum that you'd want, when the EP-3 is in the Heel position.
Then... you can use the Maximum knob on the EP-3 to get the desired result when the EP-3 is fully in the Toe position.

Gotcha ...
I love that knob, but wish you could reverse whether it was max or min ...
Is there a (simple) software, third-party solution you know of?

Not a software solution but, here's a pedal that has a Range dial and a Reverse button:

Here are some Expression Pedals that have a Minimum Knob instead:

Thanks again ...
That one with the range dial looks interesting, but Im not sure about how the pedal will feel, given that there are no moving parts ... Anyone have it?

I have it. You lose some control because you can't just leave it at any value on the fly.eroxx wrote:That [ehx Next Step Expression Pedal] with the range dial looks interesting, but I'm not sure about how the pedal will feel, given that there are no moving parts ... Anyone have it?
But you gain other things like the ability to set a precise Off Value, as well as setting the Range and Direction.
And, it responds instantly to your every twitch in a way that makes it feel like your leg is directly wired into your synth's parameter.

Good evening and tank you _Demon Dan_,
very interesting alternative here, maybe MoogMusic will offer an equivalent device in near future...mounted on a heel/toe "position holding platform" as an EP-3 ?
