Moog EP-2 with Line6 Pod HD500

Post by danleedham » Thu Jan 24, 2013 10:13 am

I'm currently testing out using my Moog EP-2 as a second peal with my new POD HD500. The max and min positions on the pedal work fine, but when sweeping though, my POD hits it's max when the pedal is pressed only half way down, meaning I can only get to the equivalent of half my effect if the peal is depressed by 1/4.

Is there anything I can try, or is there some technical reason the 2 pedals aren't compatible?

Thanks

With an stereo to mono adapter or cable you can get about 93% of the sweep. I made one for myself out of a broken guitar cable and just soldered an stereo jack socket, in the socket I bridged the Tip and Ring Pins. works quite ok with my Line6 M9. Better is of course the MP201 via Midi.

The potentiometer inside the pedal is not the same as a Line 6 pedal. You could just live with it or replace the pot. Or just get the proper Line 6 pedal.
