will Moog release a new cv pedal?

Post by stuart_melvey » Wed Sep 28, 2011 5:50 am

I find it very strange they discontinued the mp-201 so quickly and discreetly - they gave us plenty of warning that the moogerfooger 104z was being discontinued for example.

if the mp-201 was not selling as well as they had hoped, do you think it is likely they are working on something new? or scrap it entirely? If they are, its frustrating that moog has left us in the dark.

I think with their move to into MIDI (105m, 108m) it would make so much sense to offer a MIDI-to-CV product for the foogers that dont have them. Just interested in your thoughts.

I've said elsewhere that the guts of this coupled to a tabletop joystick module would be brilliant.

with midi, more waveforms on the LFOs, and envelopes.

Wow..great link..the Massager and Moisturizer devices, very cool

Also -PAIA makes a MIDI to CV that is quite affordable. MIDI to Cv, gate or trigger.

I'd like to see Moog replace the MP-201 ( which I own) with a touch pad / ribbon controller. I could live with the same basic setup just swap out the gas pedal with a touch pad and a ribbon controller.

I would love to see a touch pad that uses sort of vector synthesis to morph between 4 different wave forms that are syncable, or free running, or clocks dividable as you move your finger around the pad.

Bonus features that might not be possible; record movements into memory banks and interrupt recording with live movements, or possibly have multiple out puts for recorded and live movements.

Also presure sensitive attenuation would be cool too. A knob or slider would be fine as well though.
My modular so far: Q104, Q106 x2, Q107, Q108, Q109 x2 , Q116, Q118, Q127 w/Q140, Q130, STG Wave Folder, Mixer and Mankato playing with Moog Voyager, VX-351, CP-251, MF-104M x2 ( STEREO!) Volca Beats and Bass, Arturia Beat step
