Electro-harmonix modification and MP-201

Post by Moody33 » Sun Jan 30, 2011 12:34 pm

Hi !

I'm quite new in control voltage stuff and my english is not really good..

I've made a modification for my EHX Stereo memory man w/hazarai. This pedal provide a switch ( the left one ) with 2 function; If you press it several times, it acts as a tap tempo. If you press it a long time, it start to record a loop until you release the switch. This is not very convenient when your other foot is controlling an expression pedal at the same time, especially for guitarist. That's why i've made a simple modification which allow me to plug an external toggle switch (first press start recording, second press stop recording). The basic idea come from this forum: http://www.shortscale.org/forum/viewtop ... 546afc0579

So, my question is: Can I send a control voltage with my Mp-201 into the plug I've made on my EHX pedal? Is a CV gate can act as a toggle switch in my case? Which voltage range can I use ( 0-1V ? 0-5V? )? Is this idea could damage my ehx pedal?

Any advices, link or ideas are appreciated.

Thanks you in advance.

Moody.
