I like the longing and lusting as much as the holding-in-hand part.
Because that's when I get inventive and do something that nobody else is doing. Which is when anyone comes up with new ideas - including everyone working at Moog today.
There's imagination out there and I prefer that to curating a museum of old dusty instruments with decaying bits
I like the dreaming of the new, and I think that's what we need more of: new breakthrough instrument designs. Which is what the original Moog stuff was.
Breakthrough, but also so darn practical. It just made sense when you put your hands on a Minimoog.

it got loud
the best bit for me in the movie "It Might Get Loud" is when Jimmy Page is playing the Thermin. Wicked.
That's what we need more of. Stuff like a Moog Thermin hooked up to an Echoplex played by a guitarist.
The Moogerfooger pedals are one step in the right direction.
break it down now
