I've been through divorce in NY. This could be serious trouble.

If Bucki purchased the moog inventory during the marriage, then that inventory is a marital asset and is vulnerable to being lost.

NY is a community property state which means in the event of a divorce the marital assets are to be divided 50/50 between the spouses. That means the wife could get possession of the moog inventory and sell it off. This could spell the end of modusonics. As had happened to me, the wife can lock you out and change the locks and there isn't a law that can fix that (but I won the divorce suit against her using cruel and inhuman treatment). If this were the case and the moog inventory is in her possession, she could sell it off and Bucki would have a hard time proving financial abuse to the courts.

I have seen wonderful businesses close because of this. There used to be a nice museum/studio near Orlando with a ton of vintage stuff, the owner had to sell it to fund his divorce.

It's too early to know what will happen. Unfortunately NY has a terrible divorce system that is rigged against men, as I found out the hard way. My gear was safe from the divorce because 99% of it was premarital and couldn't be touched (I got the gear out before she changed the locks), but it took me years to recover financially and emotionally from it. I had a real vindictive nutcase put me through the wringers.

Hi People,

I just spoke to Mike bucki. I have asked him about the situation and he told me there have been some problems but they have recently been solved. He said he will ship my order within two weeks. I'll let you guys know when it has arrived. About the problem with his website and phone: those will be back soon, for now he can't make calls to foreign countries. I hope this will put your minds at ease a bit and please be carefull with speculations about him ripping us off because I think he means well.

There are speculations, and there are facts. IF Mike has gear that isn't his, and he's failed to contact the owner of that gear with a reasonable (to the owner) explanation of where it is, that is serious.

Yikes, somehow missed the more recent posts here! Definitely not sending my mini to Mike Bucki. This sucks - Kevin Lightner isn't taking repair jobs anymore - the list of people who really know their way around these beasts who are able to work on them just grows shorter and shorter.

I paid more than 600 $ to Mike Bucki in order to get a Moog Module made, much more than 1 year ago. He was not that prompt in his replies, much less in his production time. But now I am really worried, in that I am sure that I am experiencing a serious rip-off, first time on the Net so far.
I haven't had any reply from him since oct 2009. The last post I got reported that he was ready to ship the module. Then nothing. Now my messages are bouncing back to me.
If anybody over there can help me, I'll appreciate this so much before asking some friends at the NYPD for such an help...

My best regards

Always remember Judge Wapner:
Dont take the law into your own hands, you take him to court.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Mr. Bucki is MIA.
Even if he surfaces, there's no way I would send him any more business.
Getting your gear back (fixed right or not) is half the battle.
