All Analog Moog Keyboard at Frankfurt 2009???

Post by EricK » Wed Apr 01, 2009 5:05 pm

I spotted this trying to find out if Moog has unveiled anything new.

Lets see..

Andre from Moog Music was sitting in front of me on the plane, and he had the Moog guitar with him. Apparently it's been updated and he'll be playing it at the booth. They also have a new Moog keyboard that's all analog - nothing digital at all - not even presets for memory.

Could this be the OS?

I would doubt that, didn't they just announce they were stopping production of the OS ? It wouldn't make sense to showcase a product thats already been tagged as history...could it be a modular synth?? or a true clone of the Model D Minimoog ?

Well it does sound like the OS. But lets think. There ARE other analog keyboard controllers on the market.

What would be so special about a Moog CV keyboard?

Kevin, these pages do not list some product that are on the Messe. So this does not prove a thing. But I think there was nothing like a new Moog synth there anyway.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

Hi Till,

I wasn't necessarily saying the Meese page had everything Moog was showing, but I think anything as major as a new modular would probably have been mentioned.
Given an April 1st show opening, no one could be sure of anything.
That's why I asked a friend that attended. :)

I think that whomever made the pic has little manufacturing experience themselves.
A first product offering wouldn't likely feature something as ambitious as a 960 sequencer clone.
