Rip Off Warning! Moog MINIMOOG

Post by HowIMadeMyMillions » Fri Jun 18, 2004 12:11 pm

Hey guys and gals....just a note to let you guys know I almost got ripped off on the following ebay auction for a Moog minimoog. Check it out if it's still up: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWN:IT or item # 3723169275 This guy is using stolen identities to set up false eBay auctions. I thought it was risky from the start (had no feedback) and when I suggested an escrow service, the guy got scared off. Anyodd, incase he tries again, keep an eye out for a mini with no nameplates and the ever desirable pitch ribbon....that was what got me....lucky my money didn't follow! Cheers!

I saw that auction too, I thought it was weird that it says the item is in the USA but it said "Im waiting on some screws to arrive from the USA", and "It has also had the power transformer rewired to 240volts". I was tempted to bid on it but It seemed like a scam

I sent him an email and I guess he didn't like my questions as I never heard back.
