It sounds like Genesis, but probably isn't...Yes, perhaps? Those would be my guesses.cageswood wrote:Interesting documentary of keyboards in prog rock, but i'm keen to find out the music at 4.00 mins, who is it? http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=ELY0QoA4F ... re=related

Welcome to the forums! Like you, I also think its sounds like something Happy The Man might have played (for anyone interested: HTM is was a '70's prog group based in WashingtonDC/northern Virgina area that achieved some national recognition. Kit Watkins was the keyboard player for the group. HTM eventually disbanded, and Kit went on to a solo career, releasing about a dozen or so recordings since the late '70's. Kit's a great keyboard player and composer, and his recordings are worth seeking out. AFAIK, he still lives in Virginia. HTM reformed a few years back with David Rosenthal taking over the keyboard duties. To my knowledge, the reformed HTM only released one recording which was comparable to their earlier work, but it didn't seem to get much attention. No idea if HTM are still together, but some of their back catalog has been released on CD. To get an idea of what they sounded like from back in the day, try their 'Retrospective' release.)
BTW - I have much of Kit's solo stuff, and I'm fairly certain that what is heard at the 4 minute mark isn't from any of that.
Cheers!
- Greg

To hear some of Kit's music, go to the Kit Watkins website (www.kitwatkins.com) and click on 'downloads'. Kit offers some of his early CD's for a free download, including the excellent 'Labyrinth' (his first solo CD after leaving HTM, and an all-time fav of mine).
The downloads include album artwork and liner notes, and the CD tracks are high-quality 256 kbs MP3 files (thanks, Kit!).
