Can You Use the Old 1130 Drum Controller with the Voyager?

Post by HowIMadeMyMillions » Mon May 17, 2004 5:37 pm

I don't have a voyager but I do have drum controller....always though it was the neatest of vintage controllers. Do you think MoogMusic should come out with a new age set of drum controllers to trigger off different pad sounds from the voyager? Or should synths and drummers never mix again? Or is this question stupider then my theremin question in the other forum....ahhh just been trying to think "outside the keyboard"...cheers

The 1130 Drum Controller has a six pin Cinch-Jones power plug that mated with old Moog synths. Sonic Six, Minimoog model D, Micromoog, Multimoog, and Polymoog had the matching socket.

The 1130 would only work with the Voyager if you built an external power supply with the matching Cinch-Jones socket.

Okay i know that this is an old post but lemme ask you this:

What if i hooked my 1130 percussion controller's power outlet to my micromoog, and plugged the red CV plug into the voyager?

The 1130 has the following cords.
THe CJ Trigger
the pronged power plug
a black 1/4th plug that controls the sensitivity output
and a red Control VOltage plug connected directly to the SCALE knob.

You hit it soft it plays a low note, you hit it hard it plays a high note.

I think that i need to replace the speaker in mine because sometimes i hit mine and nothing but the clump of my mallet makes a sound.

I think I hear the mothership coming.
