Moog Taurus Sliders

Post by a2dconverter » Mon Oct 06, 2008 6:05 pm

Is there a source for replacement sliders on the Moog Taurus Pedals?

(This is for the sliders under the glass for the programmable preset.)

I'm looking for pot values that are close, but more importantly with
the same pin-out/ footprint to match the existing PCB for my Taurus
pedals. They are approximately 30 mm Travel.

If you can please help me with the manufacturer that would be
appreciated

regards

Joe

The original manufacturer for most T1 sliders was CTS.
Their brand name for these was Malloslide.
Another manufacturer might have been used either early or later on.

While I have some used ones, unless they're completely damaged or worn out, I've had good results flushing them out and relubing them.

Thanks Kevin..

the reason I have to replace them is that most of the shafts are broken off!..yikes

The resistive element is still ok, so, I may be able to fab some kind of new shaft that I can attach to the old one.

If you know one that fits. please let me know

Peavey EQ's (From the 70's/80's) used those same sliders.
You can come up with those pretty easily.

Hope this helps.

hey electrojoe

From one Joe to another...thank-you

I just purchased an old Peavey EQ-27 from fleabay

Hmmm..should I restore the EQ or the Taurus pedals???

The sliders on my Taurus mainboard are still ok, but most of the shafts are broken off...I'm hoping to take them apart and transplant the shafts from the EQ-27!

Regards

Joe

UPDATE : The sliders from the Peavey EQ-27 are the wrong size and travel
