I've just bought a Source and strangely enough, the only major cosmetic defect is the control knob which has been scratched to bits. I've spent hours surfing but found nothing:
38mm dia. spun aluminium insert serrated edge knob
Any ideas,
Mr Lightner?
Cheers hopefully

The place above might be of help.
They used to have them (no line, same size, etc.)
Don't know if they still do. They have pages of knobs.
Regardless, you might check back with me in a couple of weeks.
I recently bought out a Moog service center and will have a lot of parts arriving in about a week.
Approx 40 large boxes, 600+ lbs, all vintage NOS Moog (orig factory liquidation items.)

I haven't received them yet, so I've held off any drooling until then.
But don't worry, I'll give you the first parts I drool all over.
Seriously, there's stuff I'll want to keep and stuff I'll want to sell.
Either way, it's better to help synths out than have them sit on a shelf.
Some pieces are in such quantities that it would be better to sell them than store them.
Some are also for synths I don't work on that much.
Keys for Prodigys, Memorymoogs, Rogues and that sort of thing.
Other parts make my job restoring them that much easier or better.
Those I won't be selling off.

That's really cool. Will you list some of these surplus parts on your website? I'd be curious to see what kind of stuff you get. I'm always looking for replacement parts for those on my synths that are lost or broken.Kevin Lightner wrote:I haven't received them yet, so I've held off any drooling until then.

Fwiw, the parts did arrive and there's possibly two Source knobs here.
Not sure if they're the right size though.
(Can someone supply the exact diameter of a Source knob?)
Much of the stuff I'm simply keeping for my own work, but some things I don't need at all.
Those items will eventually be listed on my store or sold on Ebay.
We have some stuff up now:
