Sequencer acting unexpectedly with DAW

Post by jimmym » Sun Mar 19, 2023 10:36 pm

Hi there, first question on the forum. I can't seem to figure this out and am hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction please. I am sync'd with Logic over USB. My issue is that when the DAW plays, the Matriarch sequencer increases octaves each cycle until it is a high pitched whistle when HOLD is engaged - as soon as I unplug the midi cable the sequencer behaves as I would expect. The voice mode is on 1. Also, if I disengage HOLD and just hold a key down while the DAW is playing, the sequencer plays the notes I want it to. Has anyone experienced this or something similar?

I had similar issues at one point.
The problem was that I had both midi in and midi out of the matriarch assigned to the same channel.
It was creating a "midi feedback loop".
Assigning the midi out to another channel fixed the problem.
Let me know if this helps.
