Is there anyway to add cv gate to a polymoog? I have the preset 208 version. Would be a nice feature.
It's old but still beautiful.

Re: Polymoog CV GAte?
According to the service manual it is a divider based organ type of synthesizer. AFAIK no CV and Gate is used internally, so providing an external CV and Gate can't have any effect in this instrument. Correct me if I'm wrong.
There are standard OTAs (CA3080) used in the modulation bus though. These could be affected by external CV, but I don't think that you refer to this.

Yes, you can definitely do it by using a MIDI-to-CV converter: You could use a MIDI-to-CV converter to generate CV/Gate signals that can be sent to the Polymoog. This would require connecting the MIDI-to-CV converter to the Polymoog's existing control inputs (such as the pitch and filter contexto control inputs). This would allow you to control the Polymoog using a MIDI keyboard or sequencer.

Re: Polymoog CV GAte?
Sorry, this is completely wrong. The Polymoog didn't take CV/Gate inputs for external control. It had some outputs (CV and STrig) to run external synths, but it couldn't be played from either midi or external CV/Gate controllers without extensive modifications. The inputs were for the PolyPedal accessory.tonyadams wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 11:58 pm Yes, you can definitely do it by using a MIDI-to-CV converter: You could use a MIDI-to-CV converter to generate CV/Gate signals that can be sent to the Polymoog.
