Can you make a synthesizer play a hydrograph?

Can you make a synthesizer play a hydrograph?

Post by estefando12345 » Fri Jun 25, 2021 5:18 pm

Hi all,
A very strange question. I am a hydrologist with a friend who owns a few modular synths and a moog grandmother. I am new to synths in general but as a water scientist I was wondering whether you could make a synth play out the wave form of a groundwater hydrograph. This may be a ridiculous question but I thought I'd put it out and see if anyone knows how I could make this weird dream a reality. Thanks, synths rock.

Well if you can get any voltage modulation between 1-5 volts DC out of your equipment, sure. Just plug it into CV. 1 volt per octave for pitch. Otherwise you can just modulate

Actually there was a fellow from France who posted here a while ago, I thought he was doing just that. But apparently he was channeling the water energy some other way
