New Moog Matriarch - arp/seq, 4osc paraphonic, stereo filter/stereo delay, semi-modular synth. Looks like Grandmother's big brother: ... fDfRhmSI_k

Looks and sounds great! Moog has been knocking it out of the park, certainly on a roll. Love the Mother 32, DFAM, Grandmother, and now the Matriarch, a great time to be into synths. Love the patching options.

I'm guessing all these releases so close together are like Kiss albums in the late '70s; ho hum.

Watch for Moog's new re-entry into the MU modular world they founded with the new "Aunt Who Pinches My Cheeks" modular featuring the "Annoying Little Sister" EG. It'll be coloured like this...

to be honest, at first I thought the grandmother looked ugly, but it has really grown on me.

it's a fun, cheerful splash of colour, in an otherwise monotonous studio space. Even though I like traditional black faceplates & knobs etc!

and every girl who has seen it, has been enamoured with it.

So their mission of appealing to a wider crowd than old, eccentric, bearded men, seems to be working ;)

plus it sounds pretty damned good
