Midi Clock Generator

Post by Sculptair » Fri Jul 06, 2018 4:50 am

Can anyone recommend a midi clock generator that can be controlled by midi commands to synchronize an MF-104m, MF-108m, two Mother 32s, and a ditto x4 without the use of a computer? I found a Molten Voltage Pentode and a Disaster Area SMARTClock but they are no longer available. Thx.

Hi cleo672. That’s a good question, but you might be better off posting in it’s own thread with a meaningful subject. Why would anybody look for your question in a thread about a midi generator?

You could use a drum machine or sequencer that sends clock with a thru box to sync all your devices.

I use the koma rh 301
( https://koma-elektronik.com/?product=rh ... ility-tool )

And sometimes combined with the korg volca beat

When going non -daw

Afcourse many other possibilities to tackle the task :-)

Thanks for the suggestions. Actually I was able to find a SMARTClock and it works nicely. Although it's tap tempo feature uses the actual time between the last 2 taps instead of a more useable average. I also discovered that my midi controller, the FAMC LF+12+, also sends midi clock but it's range is severely limited at 77bpm - 200bpm.
